According to reports from the Royal Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Craig Tuckett, deputy leader of the People’s Labour Party (PLP), known Facebook personality and attorney at law, has been arrested and charged for attempting to pervert the course of justice on February 23rd, 2024 at the Basseterre Police Station. Police indicated that the offense in question took place on February 12th, 2024.
Mr. Tuckett is a senior leader and foundation member of the Mr. Timothy Harris led PLP over the last two election cycles. He has been very vocal at party conferences, press conferences and on social media in support and defense of the integrity of the leaders in the PLP.
This arrest raises questions about his integrity and that of the leadership of his party given prior unrelated allegations of misconduct leveled against the party by founding members. Hence, the people is anxious to learn the genesis, extent and specifics of this charge and the implications for Mr. Tuckett.
