In another of the series of high-level campaign events, the St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party gave a sneak peek of its Digital Manifesto and also opened its Campaign Headquarters. Despite the threat of rain, thousands gathered on Fort Street mostly clad in Red and Ready gear to celebrate this visionary spectacle. The event took place on July 20th, 2020.
According to Konris Maynard, Deputy Political Leader and candidate for Constituency number 3, the Digital Manifesto would take the form of an App that everyone can view on their smart device. He outlined that the content includes seven (7) Pillars dedicated to the approach by a new SKNLP Government.
The featured pillars provided information on “Your Jobs and Economy” addressed by Dr the Honorable Denzil Douglas. “Healthcare” was ably expounded on by Marsha Henderson. Samal Duggins elaborated on “The Environment and Food Security”. Leon Natta-Nelson deliberated on “Housing and Social Protection”. He was followed by the Honorable Geoffrey Hanley, who displayed his natural passion while addressing the Pillar of “Education and Scholarships”.
Next up was an exposition on “Your Good Government” by Konris Maynard. Kenny Douglas dedicated his presentation to the Pillar of “Sports and Entertainment”. The presentation of the Digital Manifesto was concluded by Dr. Terrance Drew, SKNLP party leader and the man poised to become the 4th Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis. He thanked the professionals for producing a visionary document, the technicians for building the App, and the crowd for showing up and absorbing the information.
The evening ended with a call to vote for the candidates of the SKNLP by the LIVE AND LIT 313. A brief and light shower blessed the RED and the READY crowd as they dispersed to various parts of the island. EK The Real Right also showed his ability to agitate for the coming change of Government with his skillful handling as host for the evening.
The App will be activated and go LIVE in a couple of days.
