BECOME A SKNLP SUPPORTER

Geh Rid A Dem on August 5th

The week started with the most anticipated and consequential announcement since our Independence in 1983...The naming of the Election date. Though the announcement was inevitable, the anticipation was evident as comrades and citizens packed the Best Buy Parking Lot for a Sunday night like no other. The flags were back, and the UNSTOPPABLE FORCE of Konris Maynard, candidate for C3, was electrifying.

The SKNLP strategists engineered a monumental coup by moving speakers around so that the moment the election date was announced, Dr Drew would be at the microphone. This plan worked to perfection and when Dr Drew shouted out the date of AUGUST 5, 2022, the crowd went into a frenzy saluting FREEDOM DAY. The Election Date was greeted with all eight candidates on stage ringing the proverbial BELL. The crowd danced and shouted to the strains of Skinny Fabulous' "LABOUR", Burning Flames' "SCHOOL CALL EEN", and Fabulous T's "GEH RID AH DEM".

There was even more excitement when an impromptu motorcade followed the end of the rally. Hundreds of vehicles took off through the streets of Constituencies 3, 2, 1, and 8 in a power move until 1AM Monday morning. Success and increased momentum were the hallmarks of the event.

On Wednesday July 20, Labour moved to Action Avenue, Fort Street for the launch of their DIGITAL MANIFESTO APP and the opening of the CAMPAIGN HEADQUARTERS located across from PharmCare. Another massive crowd of flag-waving comrades and citizens packed the entire Action Avenue with the expectation to hear the 7 Pillars of development for the Federation of St Kitts Nevis.

The featured pillars provided information on "Your Jobs and Economy" addressed by Dr the Hon. Denzil Douglas. "Healthcare" was ably expounded on by Marsha Henderson. Samal Duggins elaborated on "The Environment and Food Security". Leon Natta-Nelson deliberated on "Housing and Social Protection". He was followed by the Hon. Geoffrey Hanley, who displayed his natural passion while addressing the Pillar of "Education and Scholarships".

Next up was an exposition on "Your Good Government" by Konris Maynard. H.E. Kenneth "Kenny" Douglas dedicated his presentation to the Pillar of "Sports and Entertainment". The introduction of the Digital Manifesto was concluded by Dr Terrance Drew, SKNLP party leader and the man poised to become the 4th Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis.

Thursday July 21, the SKNLP journeyed west to Fig Tree in support of C5 candidate H.E. Kenneth "Kenny" Douglas. The man of the hour was ushered on stage by the dynamic entertainer Colin Wyatt who called up C2 contender Marsha Henderson to blaze out his popular song "MOST HIGH FOREVER". Kenny was then introduced on stage by his nephew, Ashan Browne, and local business woman, Chev Rich.

Labour candidates, supporters and friends used Friday July 22 as a chill day in ALL 8 constituencies. The SKNLP showed their appreciation to all comrades and citizens for their massive show of support during this grueling election campaign thus far. The camaraderie was quite evident as ordinary folks played dominoes, drafts, enjoyed their favorite beverages and food while dancing and singing to the sweet strains of all the popular campaign songs.

The week concluded with a National Walk-Through in constituencies 6 and 8. The word for the week was MOMENTUM and the St Kitts Nevis Labour Party stands to benefit from it.
